Siv SearsNILE Consultant Trainer
Siv Sears has been involved with teaching English as a foreign language since the year 2000. A holder of CELTA, DELTA and MA TESOL qualifications, he has been a teacher, teacher trainer and examiner in his native UK as well as Italy, Mainland China and Taiwan. His career saw him begin as an immersion kindergarten teacher and move on to work in primary, secondary and tertiary contexts as well as teaching adults and classes for businesses.
Since 2015, he has lived in Norwich and worked for NILE. He is also the Head of EAL at an independent boarding school, where he focuses mainly on IELTS preparation and CLIL for GCSEs and A Levels. As well as this, he works for Cambridge Assessment as an examiner, Norwich Ghost Walks as a guide and storyteller and for an escape game company as a gamemaster. He has a professional interest in gamification and educational technology.
Siv has also won a gold medal at the Mind Sports Olympiad for the card game cribbage, which he has a passion for.
