Simon CoxNILE Consultant Trainer
Simon has worked in ELT as a teacher, trainer & manager for more than 30 years. Since starting his career in a primary school in rural Hungary, he’s spent most of his career in Asian countries, such as India, Thailand, Vietnam and China.
Until 2021 and Covid-19, he was the Academic Director for a large teacher development programme based in Shanghai, delivering a wide variety of pre-service and in-service courses, such as CELTA and DELTA, and since then he’s been working as a freelance training & management consultant on a wide range of Cambridge and Trinity College London qualifications.
Since completing his MA TESOL, he’s been a regular conference speaker and has published in a variety of ELT journals, where his major interest is ‘sense-making’ for academic leaders & managers working in complex environments.
When he’s not working, his main interest is cycling – and campaigning for ways to make cycling safer for people of all ages.
