Sam CoffeyNILE Consultant Trainer

Sam is an experienced English language teacher, manager and teacher trainer having worked for private language schools and in both further and higher education settings. Since qualifying in 2000, she has taught a wide range of English language courses, including YL, BE, ESP, EAP, exam preparation courses) in various countries such as Spain, Estonia, Tunisia, Türkiye, and the UK. Her expertise extends to teacher training, having worked on CELTA and CertTESOL programmes since 2008.

Committed to continuous professional development, Sam completed her MA in TESOL in 2018, focussing her research on ‘Teachers' perspectives and cognition in teaching English language pronunciation’. In 2020, she obtained her Certificate of Online Training and has since been actively involved in online teaching and training.

As a freelance training consultant, Sam engages in various face-to-face and online teacher education projects and is a certified Trinity College London examiner. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys travelling, gardening, practising pilates and is an avid reader of historical and crime novels.
