Mike Carter

Mike is based at International House Seville, southern Spain, where he has been a full-time teacher trainer for the last 25 years. He is a CELTA and DELTA Tutor for both face-to-face and online courses and a CELTA and DELTA Assessor. He is presently working as a Consultant Trainer for NILE on Russell Stannard’s 'Technologies and Approaches to Blended, Hybrid and Online Teaching' course.

Mike has worked in the field of English teaching and training for over 30 years, as an ELT teacher, Cambridge Examiner, Director of Studies, teacher trainer and materials writer. He has worked in Greece, the UK, Thailand and Spain for the British Council, International House and other schools. He is CELTA and DELTA qualified.

Mike’s particular areas of interest include teaching methodology, course and input design for teacher training and development, phonology, and the judicious use of technology in online, blended and hybrid teaching contexts.
