Maurice Drews

Maurice Drews has been working in education for over 30 years. He began teaching multilingual groups of adults in London and went on to teach in a variety of different contexts, from teaching ESP and EAP in Saudi Arabia to teaching young learners in Japan. As his career developed, he took on other roles and started his own language school in Peru. He completed his MBA with the Edinburgh Business School while managing a school in London.

Maurice became interested in teacher training and delivering CELTA courses. After running over 40 CELTA courses at 15 different centres worldwide, Maurice returned to live in the UK and did a PGCE at the University of Oxford. He taught high-school mathematics in the classroom and online for several years.

Maurice has worked at NILE on CELTA and teacher development courses since 2017 and he is now back as a permanent member of staff.
