Margit SzesztayNILE Consultant Trainer
Margit runs courses for NILE in the areas of practical ELT methodology, language development for teachers, and trainer training. She has extensive experience in designing and implementing courses on communicative language teaching for contexts with large classes, teacher-centered approaches and a tradition of memorisation. She has also been involved in materials development which takes into account the local context of teachers and supports them in transitioning to a more student-centered and interactive approach. She has been involved in teacher training and trainer training projects in many countries, including China, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Austria, Spain, Brazil, Tunisia, and the USA.
Margit is a lecturer at ELTE University in Budapest and has been training beginner teachers since 1990. She also works as a mentor supporting pre-service teachers during their teaching practice in secondary schools. She is passionate about the educational dimension of ELT, bringing global issues into the classroom and developing social skills for more creative and effective communication.
