Leticia Yulita

Dr Leticia Yulita is a freelance consultant trainer and teacher educator based in Woodbridge, England. She directed two English language schools for nearly 20 years in Argentina and the UK, before spending another 20 years as a language and intercultural educator in the British university sector. Leticia holds an MA and PhD, both from the University of East Anglia (UEA), where she taught international and UK students and served as Associate Dean International in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. She is now Emerita Professor at UEA.

Leticia was awarded an Advance HE National Teaching Fellowship, the most prestigious teaching accolade in UK higher education. She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and received the UEA Achievement Award for her outstanding contribution to public engagement in language education. She led three British Council-funded projects internationalising language curricula in Uzbekistan and Argentina.

Leticia specialises in critical pedagogical approaches to language and intercultural education and has published articles and book chapters on her teaching. She has also delivered talks, keynotes, consultancy and teacher training workshops in the UK, Argentina, Japan, Austria, Australia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Spain. Leticia currently serves as External Examiner for the MA Intercultural Communication at the University of Sheffield, UK and as Visiting Professor at Universidad Católica de Salta, Argentina.

Leticia is a tutor on the MA in Professional Development for Language Education Programme.
