Jayne KyteNILE Consultant Trainer

Jayne lives in the French countryside close to the north-western border of Switzerland. She began teaching English in 1991 as a hobby which then developed into a passion. She taught all levels and genres of English prior to becoming padagogoical advisor responsible for English and several other languages in a large language school in Basel. Over the years, she attained the Cert.TEB and CELTA, closely followed by a Dip.TESOL from Oxford TEFL in Barcelona.

From 2008 to 2018 Jayne was employed by Oxford University Press (ELT) as area sales manager for Switzerland. During this time she organised many teacher training events often presenting sessions herself, which is where she developed her love of teacher training and promoting professional development for teachers.

In 2014 Jayne took a summer sabbatical, undertaking CELTA tutor training with Academia in Basel. Since that time Jayne has tutored on many CELTA courses both online and face to face. She is currently main course tutor on Academia Basel’s part-time mixed mode CELTA which take place twice a year.

In addition to her large workload, Jayne was involved in ETAS (English Teachers Association of Switzerland) for many years, during which she organised over 10 national events including conferences, providing professisonal development for English teachers working and living in Switzerland.
