Anna Hasper

Anna has been involved in teaching, teacher training and development and materials writing for 20 years. She is a primary-trained teacher and is CELTA and DELTA qualified. She holds an MA in Public Administration and an MEd in Education. Her management experience includes 5 years as Director of Studies for a group of language schools in New Zealand, Australia and Japan. She is an experienced Cambridge DELTA module 3 Tutor and a CELTA Tutor and Assessor.

Anna is currently based in Dubai and has worked in a wide range of global contexts for ministries, educational institutes and leading educational publishers. She has been involved in educational reform projects in primary and secondary education in Lebanon, the UAE, Algeria, Senegal, Oman, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, Tunisia and most recently worked for NILE on a British Council project in Indonesia. She works as a consultant for NILE on technology related projects, the TABHOT course and the From Teacher to Trainer course.

She is passionate about teaching young learners but is also an IELTS Expert for IDP IELTS. She regularly writes blogs for the publishers and presents at international conferences, and you can find some of her articles and materials for teachers on OneStopenglish, and in Modern English Teacher and Humanising Language Teaching magazines. She’s written various teacher resources for Macmillan and the British Council Connect project in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her research interests are educational psychology, teacher development and enhancing effective learning.
